The Board of Directors of the Greater Baton Rouge Swim League met on Thursday, March 18th to discuss the upcoming summer, after previously delaying to get updated guidance from the State on reopening swimming pools. Linked you will find the current version of the Governor and Fire Marshall's Open Safely guidelines for swimming pools that includes information on running a swim team. 

While we don't know if this guidance will change prior to the summer starting, it is the intention of the League to resume regular activities this year, including facilitating dual swim meets and planning for a Championship Meet. Depending upon the guidance from the State in May/June, it is likely that the format of dual meets for large teams and the Championship meet may need to change. No decision will be made on that end until we get closer to the summer, but we do want you to know that, if you are planning on resuming swim team activities, you can and should start advertising your swim program to your membership. 

We will have our Annual League Meeting on April 12th at 7pm on Zoom. Prior to this meeting, we ask that you complete this form to let us know if you plan on fielding a swim team this summer. Our tentative plan for the season is to have 3 dual meets on June 5, 12, and 19, with the Championship Meet being held over June 25-27.
